Within an hour of Osaka, this is one of the lower figuresA 7.5% chance of seismic intensity 6-lower or above within 30 years is less than half Takarazuka's 15.6% and less than a third of Ikoma's 27.5% within the same area. The ground is a sandy-gravel terrace at AVS30 452.43 m/s, a different proposition from the soft ground of the Osaka plain. Even so, about two thirds of the city is hills (§1). On land cut and filled along the edge of the hills, whether a plot is on fill or on cut changes how it shakes, so ask the agent about the history of the site preparation.

The city warns residents to watch for bearsOn its sightseeing page the city writes: "In recent years, as bear numbers have grown and their range has widened, there have been many reports of bears appearing in built-up areas and of people being injured." It asks that "since abandoned crops, and rubbish put out at night, become food for bears, rubbish should be put out only during the designated hours and nothing should be left lying about". If you live in Shinmachi or along the edge of the hills, this becomes an everyday rule. Minoh City states that it "aims to be the easiest place in Japan to raise a child, so that people can bring up the children who matter to them with peace of mind", and subsidises medical costs to the age of high school graduation (31 March of the year you turn 18). There is no income limit. The charge is up to ¥500 a day per medical institution, for at most 2 days a month. There is no charge when you collect medicine from a pharmacy on an outside prescription. And where the total in a month exceeds ¥2,500, the excess is subsidised (you have to apply for the refund).

How close a station is decides whether you need a carIn Minoh-Kayano, Minoh-Semba Handai-mae or along the Hankyu Minoh Line, life with the station and the supermarket within walking distance works. A city whose built-up area has spread north and eastIn the city's own account, the south holds the Osaka Semba textile wholesale estate, the centre holds "Kayano Chuo", the new Minoh city centre where a large commercial complex was built in Heisei 15, and the following year the international culture park city of "Saito" opened in the east. (1) A station 56 years in the making redrew the mapOn 23 March 2024 the Kita-Osaka Kyuko line was extended to Minoh-Kayano (§1). Hommachi is 31 minutes, Umeda 26 and Shin-Osaka 19, all without changing (§3). And the terminus is where trains start. The city went further and secured a ¥40 discount to Shin-Osaka and Higashi-Mikuni. Minoh before the station and Minoh after it are different towns.

(2) The nearness of the forest is priced inAbout two thirds of the city is the Minoh range, holding the Meiji no Mori Minoh Quasi-National Park and Minoh Great Falls, one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan (§1, §11). That setting, 30 minutes from central Osaka, has no real substitute. It is what supports a residential land level of ¥204,000/m².

(3) New districts have been added one after anotherKayano Chuo (Heisei 15), Saito (Heisei 16), the Minoh Green Road tunnel and Shinmachi (Heisei 19), and the Kita-Osaka Kyuko extension (Reiwa 6) — this is a city whose built-up area has kept spreading north and east for a little over 20 years (§10). Minoh is a residential city that grew as commuter territory for central Osaka. The city itself writes that it "has developed as a residential city blessed with nature".
